If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, "Move from here to there," and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. ~Matthew 17:20

Monday's Medele

When I think of vacation, I think of a beach, a comfortable beach chair, a really good book and a drink with an umbrella in it.  When my family thinks of a vacation, they think we need to be doing SOMETHING every second of the day!

We spent Sunday morning driving around, taking in the sights.  This is a really interesting town and the scenery is gorgeous.  Our mountains in Arkansas can't compare to the mountains here...amazing.

Our first stop was an overlook on Mulholland Drive.

After lunch, it was on to Dodger Stadium for a Dodger/Angels game.  It was so much fun!  Ok, the game was kind of boring until the last play of the last inning but the people-watching opportunities were FABULOUS!  Oh, and did I mention the garlic french fries?!

So much fun!

We all fell into the bed early (9:00 here but our bodies are still on Little Rock time) so, of course, I was awake at 5:30 a.m.  I started my day off with a long run in 57 degree temps.  Oh my, now that was nice.  How long has it been since we've had those temps in Arkansas?

This morning, we met with Cole's Business Manager, Katrina.  We have communicated with her by phone and e-mail for the past several months and it was nice to be able to meet her in person.  She is super nice and she has six interviews (so far) scheduled with agents for Cole for Tuesday and Wednesday.  I think Spencer and I will do a little sight-seeing while Brad and Cole brave the world of acting.

After lunch, we headed downtown to the Staples Center.  Spencer wanted to lay eyes on the home of the Lakers.  We were hopeful that they were giving tours of the arena but no such luck.

Then we headed across the street to the ESPNZone.  They film SportsCenter and some other sportsy shows there but it was a no-go on being able to tour the facilities.  Still, it was pretty cool to even be able to be in the building.

On the way back to the hotel, we decided to drive down Hollywood Blvd.  Pretty crazy...lots of people, roads blocked off because they were filming a movie, and did I mention lots of people?!

I was glad to get back to the hotel and relax.  We walked across the street and had authentic LA pizza (fresh veggies & sauce, no meat) and then we decided to stay in for the night.  So nice!

Can't wait to see what's on the agenda for tomorrow...
