Please pray for Bobby and Amy Smith and their three-year old son, Garrett of Cabot. Their older son, Joel, was five and had brain cancer and was at ACH the same time Spencer was last year. Joel died yesterday.
Father, we lift this family up to you and pray for comfort, guidance and healing. Even though we know Joel is no longer suffering, that does not ease this ache in our heart. We know you are a Sovereign God and we pray that the day we meet You, we might have complete understanding. We know that You do not bring us to situations without equipping us to deal with them and we just pray that the Smith family will lean on You for every need.
"I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior."
